Cradled in the quiet woods along the lake, George T. Bagby State Park & Lodge is an ideal place to enjoy Southern Georgia’s natural beauty.
Hiking trails wind through the woods. A paved trail leads you to the dam and is perfect for cycling. There’s swimming both at the lakeshore beach and in the lodge’s private pool. Guests can play volleyball and tennis near the beach. Picnic areas and grills are available for outdoor dining. An 18-hole championship golf course skirts the outside of the park boundaries.

- George T. Bagby State Park & Lodge sits on the banks of Walter F. George Lake (Lake Eufaula) – a 48,000-acre lake that divides Southwest Georgia and Southeast Alabama. Lake Eufaula is famous for its trophy catfish and bass fishing and recreational boating.
- George T. Bagby State Park has a full-service marina on the banks of this Georgia lake including a boat ramp for launching your own vessel, a Marina Store is open Friday through Sunday from 5:30am to 4pm is the perfect place to pick up all your supplies or rent one of our own pontoon boats for half-day or full-day usage. We even have our own gas pump to fill up your tank before heading out on the water.
- Lakeside cottages take full advantage of the park’s natural surroundings and provide accommodation options for those looking for a couples’ weekend getaway, family summer vacation or hunters’ headquarters.

- While there is no hunting within Georgia State Parks, George T. Bagby State Park is surrounded by fertile South Georgia hunting grounds making the Lodge Rooms and Cottages the perfect accommodations for any sized hunting group. There’s even a Hunter’s Discount offered during the peak hunting seasons such as White-Tailed Deer Season and Duck Hunting Season.
- In 2018, George T. Bagby State Park’s Marina Store started offering Duck Boats and Duck Decoys for rent to assist hunters in getting the best South Georgia Duck Hunting experience on the lake.
